MINUTES OF= THE DECEMBER 13, 2006 BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING

Attending:

Board members: Joe Sarver, President, Lyle Mitchell, = Vice President, Lyn Gibson, Secretary, Andrea Lamberson, and Alan Reyes-Guerra<= /p>

Staff: = Chief Morton and Ben Kirkland

Citizens: None

Firefighters: = Captain Witherington

Rex Lake Board Members: Ed Coberly, President, Leland Ashworth, Secretary, Victor Kellum, Treasurer, Chris Romei, and Chris Reta= n

Mr. Sarver called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.

The minutes from the November 8, 2006 Board meeting were presented. Dr. Lamberson made a motion to ac= cept the minutes as presented. Ms. Gibson seconded. The motion passed by a unanimous = vote.

The agenda was presented. Mr. Mitchell made a motion to acce= pt the agenda as presented. Dr. Lam= berson seconded. The motion passed by a unanimous = vote.

Mr. Sarver welcomed the Rex Lake Board. Mr. Coberly reported that the Rex = Lake Board has approved the changes in the contract proposed by Cahaba Valley (see attachment).

Report of the Fire Chief:

&nb= sp; Chief Morton gave the operations report (see attachment). Chief Morton and Captain Witherin= gton reported on calls in the Rex lake Fire District that have gone to the City= of Leeds and Leeds responded without notifying Cahaba Valley. Chief Morton was instructed to se= nd a letter to the Leeds Fire Chief asking that Cahaba Valley be notified of all calls in the Rex Lake Fire District. Mr. Coberly will send a letter to= the Leeds Mayor and City Council.

Mr. Kirkland presented the financial report (see attachment). =

Old Business:

&nb= sp; Chief Morton had no report on the reopening of the Shoal Creek Fire Station.

&nb= sp; Chief Morton reported that Aliant Bank is preparing loan papers for Mr. Sarver to sign, converting the interest only loan on the Eagle Ridge Drive property to a fi= fteen year amortized loan.

New Business:

&nb= sp; Mr. Kirkland presented a bill from the attorney. Dr. Lamberson made a motion t= o pay the bill. Mr. Mitchell seconded. The motion passed by a unanimous vote.

Mr. Reyes-Guerra made a motion to adjourn. Dr. Lamberson seconded. The meeting adjourned at 7:35 P.M.
