Station 184 is located in Jefferson County and is the primary responding station for all of the Rex Lake Fire District, which is covered by Cahaba Valley under contract with the Rex Lake Fire District. 

Units at Station 184 include:

Engine-184 - 2004 Ferrara Engine with 1250 gallons per minute pump. This engine responds to both fire and medical calls within the areas listed above. Engine-184 is equipped with 1800 feet of 3 inch diameter supply hose, 500 feet of 1 3/4 inch diameter attack hose and all advanced life support equipment for medical calls.
