MINUTES OF FEBRUARY 9, 2022, BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING

- Mr. Sarver called the meeting to order at 6:03 P.M.
- The minutes from January 12, 2022, Board Meeting were presented. Mr. Reyes-Guerra made a motion to approve the minutes and Mr. Nolan seconded. The motion passed by unanimous vote.
- The agenda was presented. Mr. Reyes-Guerra made a motion to approve the minutes and Dr. Lamberson seconded. The motion passed by unanimous vote.
REPORT OF THE FIRE CHIEF
- Chief Wilks presented the operations report (see attachment).
- No structure fires
- Engine 185 in service January 3rd- 61 responses for the month / response times in the Narrows reduced by 3:00 minutes.
- Community Survey has been released to the public.
- Several resignations- must begin working on raising firefighter/EMT pay
- Community meeting scheduled for February 16, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. at the new County Services Building
- Discuss firefighter pay, increasing operational cost and strategies to raise funds.
-Idea of changing billing dates to June 1 – Sept 30
FINANCIAL REPORT
- Waiting to hear from auditors regarding when the audit will start as we are still needing some credit information that was requested through legal counsel
- Mr. Sarver asked Capt. Bradley to see if the auditors could begin without the credit information
- Engine 183 was paid off in December 2021

OLD BUSINESS
- Articles of Incorporation – Engaging a lawyer to have written.
- Credit Card Statements – Jimmy Nolan will send formal request for statements
NEW BUSINESS
- Three members attending Wilderness Search and Rescue training in Prattville beginning March 7, 2022. Cost for registration $1,050 that came out of last year’s budget. Lodging $1,400 out of budget 53061 Training/Alabama Fire College. AL, ARG
- Three members attending the National Fire Academy March 13, 2022 – March 26, 2022- Cost of required meal tickets $1,719.87 out of budget 53063 Training/National Fire Academy- Airfare for 2 members $800- full reimbursable from FEMA. AL, ARG
- Chief Wilks to drive to NFA for course to save cost rental car $570 reimbursement. AL, ARG
- Line-Item adjustments AL, ARG to adjust line items.

- Dr. Lamberson made a motion to adjourn, Mr. Nolan seconded, and the meeting was adjourned at 7:05 P.M.
