- Mr. Sarver called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M.
- The minutes from April 13, 2022, Board Meeting were presented. Mr. Reyes-Guerra made a motion to approve the minutes and Dr. Lamberson seconded. The motion passed by unanimous vote.
- The agenda was presented. Mr. Reyes-Guerra made a motion to approve the agenda and Dr. Lamberson seconded. The motion passed by unanimous vote.

REPORT OF THE FIRE CHIEF
- Chief Wilks presented the operations report (see attachment).
-Chief gave a report on structure fires
-Stonegate wildland fire after action review with Alabama Forestry
o Acknowledged the weaknesses of the department when responding to wildland fires
o Identified communication issues and made plans to improve
- FDIC Report
-Sent Chief Wilks, Batt. Chief Gaither, Capt. Smetek, Capt. Ingram. Very informative meeting. Group was able to speak to directly to representatives of various manufacturers and resolves several issues that have been difficulties. Great face to face time with company representatives.
- Three personnel have resigned since last board meeting
-One replacement has been hired
-Multiple other interviews will take place over the next few weeks
- Chief Roy Retirement
-Chief John Roy is exploring his options for retirement. He is working with CVFD and State Retirement System to determine the specific information.
-Planning a badge planning ceremony and recognition for the previous board members that have resigned.

-Engine 181 down with possible engine rebuild
- Engine is being rebuilt. Hoping it is completed and back in service next month.
OLD BUSINESS
- Fire Dues
o Exploring options to move forward
o Have had several community meetings trying to determine the best path.
NEW BUSINESS
- Retirement system- Capt. Barry Casey spoke on information that he received the Alabama State Retirement for a current retiree bonus.
- Annexation- Grant Wilkinson wants to explore options to combat annexations.
- Dr. Lamberson made a motion to adjourn, Mr. Reyes-Guerra seconded, and the meeting was adjourned at 7:09 p.m.
