MINUTES OF JANUARY 11, 2023, BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING
Mr. Sarver called meeting to order 5:54 pm
Roll Call- Joe Sarver, Alan Reyes-Guerra, Grant Wilkinson, Barry Clemmons, Ron Coblitz
Chief Buddy Wilks, Deputy Chief John Yancey, Batt. Chief Micah Woodley, Capt. Russ Bradley
Adoption of the Outstanding Minutes- Mr. Coblitz made a motion to approve the minutes of the December 14, 2022, meeting, Mr. Wilkinson seconded and motion passed unanimously.
Adoption of the Agenda- Mr. Wilkinson made a motion to adopt to the agenda, Mr. Coblitz seconded, and motion passed unanimously.

Report from the Fire Chief
• Excessive call volume day on Christmas Eve due to frozen fire protection systems- over 30 calls in 24 hours.
• AFG Grant open – Previous year AFG equipment grant is still open and CVFD has not yet received a denial letter. We were turned down for the SAFER Grant for personnel. We will reapply for SAFER Grant.
• 1 resignation and 1 new hire- Able to hire a firefighter paramedic to replace a firefighter EMT.

• District Vote Dates- Board reviewed presentation, Community Meeting dates set, press release will go out Jan 12, 2023.
New Business
• Inter Firefighter job description- Mr. Coblitz made motion make changes and bring back to next meeting. Mr. Clemmons seconded the motion.
• Approval for Captain Bradley to be assigned (an existing vehicle) a take home vehicle. He lives in the District and responds to many events after hours- Mr. Wilkinson made a motion to assign Capt. Bradley a take home vehicle, Mr. Clemmons seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
• Approval for Waiver of Fire Dues Barbara L. Saiia- 104 Narrows Creek Birmingham, AL 35242. Board requested more information.
Mr. Wilkinson made a motion to adjourn, Mr. Reyes-Guerra second and all voted to adjourn at 7:03 pm
