- Mr. Sarver called the meeting to order at 6:00P.M.
-Showed Polaris ATV and search and rescue gear that was donated by Shelby County. Capt. Smetek gave presentation on equipment.
-Adoption of the Outstanding Minutes
- The minutes from July 13, 2022, Board Meeting were presented. Dr. Lamberson made a motion to approve the minutes and Mr. Clemmons seconded. The motion passed by unanimous vote.
-Adoption of the Agenda
- The agenda was presented. Dr. Lamberson made a motion to approve the agenda and Mr. Clemmons seconded. The motion passed by unanimous vote.
-Remarks, inquiries, and requests from citizens
Report from the Fire Chief
• Operations Report
o Support Unit- First month complete. Responded to 53 events- reduced response times by up to 3 minutes in some areas. Will continue to monitor through August and then will evaluate the data.
o 328 calls in July, 2 cooking fires
o Had multi-agency search and rescue drill with Vestavia and Irondale Sat. Aug 6, 2022.
o ISO will grade the department on August 11, 2022.
• Legislation- Will meet with Chiefs from Dunnavant and Vandiver on suggestions to make changes. Continuing to collect information and data.
Financial Report
• Financials
- Rex Lake payments owed to Rex Lake that were paid to CVFD via Doxo. Dr. Lamberson made a motion to pay Rex Lake, Mr. Clemmons seconded, and the motion passed.
- Dr. Lamberson made a motion to adjust budget line items to balance specific line items, Mr. Clemmons seconded, and the motion passed.

Old Business
• Purchasing Policy- Draft presented for review by the Board. Will be on Sept. 14, 2022, Agenda.
• District Letter- Presented State of the District letter to the Board for review. If approved will be mailed out with fire dues in September 2022. Dr. Lamberson made a motion to approve the letter, Mr. Wilkinson seconded, and the motion passed.
New Business
• Lesa Honeycutt service fee exemption requests- see supporting documents. Dr. Lamberson made motion to exempt Lesa Honeycutt of service fees for 2022-2023. Mr. Clemmons seconded, and the motion passed.
• Approval for line-item budget adjustments, see financial report.
• Travel for Capt. Bradley and Batt. Chief Woodley to National Fire Academy Aug 21 to Sep 2, 2022- $800 for car rental and $800 required meal ticket- Mr. Clemmons made a motion to approve travel and Dr. Lamberson seconded, and the motion passed.
Dr. Lamberson made the motion to adjourn, Mr. Clemmons seconded, and the meeting adjourned 6:59 pm
